![]() | ![]() | These are a few of the guys who I believe have been given too much credit, as far as their NBA worth is concerned. 1.) Brendan Haywood , C North Carolina Sometimes "Brenda" can be too soft. He seems to get lost on the court at times. His NBA type body however will most likely keep him in the lottery. Good thing because he is not nearly consistent enough to make it there on his play alone. Flashes of dominace are good, but he must learn to do it every time out. 2.) Shane Battier , SF Duke Battier may just be "a good college player." His NBA worth is not exactly all that high. He may end up being a decent player in the NBA, but no where near All-Star level. He does play hard, which is a plus. He will fall in line with other "Great" College players who couldn't repeat the magic in the NBA. (i.e. Ed O'bannon....) 3.) Loren Woods , C Arizona Loren is better than Haywood in my opinion, he is not however as good as he could be. His defense is awesome, but like Haywood he seems to play too inconsistent and get "lost" out there on the floor. He also has a history of shying away from challenges. (leaving Wake Forest because he did not want to follow Tim Duncan.) If he can get it on track, he could be the best Center in the draft. 4.) Gerald Wallace , SF Alabama Gerald is not as "Overrated" as much as it is just not time for him to turn pro. He is not having a banner year at Bama'. He should Hang out in Bama' one more year to let his skills come together. All the makings are there, however a hasty jump could see him sitting the bench for a while. 5.) Eric Chenowith , C Kansas The biggest waste of space in College basketball, no doubt. Chenowith has not improved hardly at all, while at Lawrence. Take the problems that Haywood and Woods have and multiply them by about ten. Chenowith will wither in the NBA, he will never amount to anything in "The league." | ![]() | ![]() |
