![]() | ![]() | Yao Ming , C Shanghai (China) Yao who? That's right this Chinese big man has all the NBA GM's drooling. Can he go #1 overall? yes. Will He? That's a different question. As with most foreign player, Yao is under contract for another team. Ming is currently employed by the Shanghai Dragons. Ming, who is 7-6 and just 20 years old has dominated in China, and made a name for him self for blocking Vince Carter in the Olympics. He (like most project big men) needs to get bigger, so that he can hold a spot in the paint. However with all the potential in this Big man it may be hard to pass him up. Eddie Griffin , PF Seton Hall Griffin, who is just a Freshman, is probaly the best player in the college game. You name it he can do, shoot (even from beyond the arc.) Rebound (leads the nation) Block shots (also leads the nation). If there is one knock on Griffin it would be that he must learn to play with his back to the basket a little better. He's overflowing with talent, so this guy would a #1 caliiber pick, no matter where he goes. Jason Williams , PG Duke With all that talent on that Duke squad, Jason Williams has turned out to be the leader (and the most talented). Williams is a great ball handler, a great passer, and a great scorer. What else you want from a point guard? He's the best PG in the nation , and will be the first one taken in the draft, but will he move all the way up to #1 overall? Eddy Curry , C HS Senoir Thornwood Curry may just be the highest picked High School player ever (atleast until Juaany comes out.) If it's not sure wether or not Yao Ming will be allowed to leave China, Curry could go #1, especially if a struggling eastern Conference team has a chance to get the secong coming of Shaq. The Shaq comparsions may be a little early, but this guy has all the makings. His soft hands, and NBA size make him a instant prospect. His jumper will attract any more teams. Curry could the sleeper. Jason Richardson , SG Michigan State With all the size in this year's draft, it looks as though Richardson may just fall through the cracks, but not too far. Richardson has the complete game, he is as athletic as anyone already in the NBA. He also has a sweet jump shot, which if he gets hot could single-handly put another team out to pasture. His electrying dunks will make him a crowd favorite right off the bat (even giving Vince Carter a run for his money.) Who ever lands Richardson may just get the best player in the draft. | ![]() | ![]() |
